3 Day CRE Programme organized by 'Voice of World' on 18th, 19th and 20th July, 2019

CRE (Continued Rehabilitation Education) is a term which is quite significant in Special Education (Education related to the Field of Disability). Students and Professionals who acquire any Degree/ Diploma in Special Education are allotted a CRR No. by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and this has to be renewed every five years. To have the certificate renewed one has to obtain 100 points and these points can be scored by attending Workshop/ Conference/ Seminar thereby updating the knowledge base. Such a CRE Workshop was organized by 'Voice of World' on 18th, 19th & 20th July, 2019 at the Behala Sakherbazar centre. The topic of the 3-day CRE Workshop was - "Training to be teacher in a College/Institute.". 50 Rehabilitational Professionals and 25 other Teachers participated in the Workshop. 13 eminent Resource Persons delivered the lectures. The logistics, venue, catering was all managed/ executed by the students and volunteers of 'Voice of World'. The CRE Programme was inaugurated by State Commissioner - for Persons with Disabilities, Shri Debabrata Chattaraj, IAS & Eminent Writer and Researcher, Shri Swapan Mukhopadhyay and Social Worker, Shri Srikumar Roychowdhury. Ex- State Commissioner - for Persons with Disabilities, Smt. Mita Bandopadhyay and Dr. Tapas Bandopadhyay, eminent Psychiatrist graced the Valedictory Function. This was another Education related initiative of 'Voice of World' wherein emphasis has been given to develop the Teachers who are responsible for the Education of the Children with Special Needs.
